Description
Argentina sialis Gilbert, 1890.
Pacific Argentine. To 22 cm (8.7 in) TL (Robertson and Allen 2002). West coast of Vancouver Island (49°04’N, 126°23’W), British Columbia (Gavin Hanke, pers. comm. to M.L.) to Gulf of California (Schneider in Fischer et al. 1995) to about Puerto Vallerta, Mexico (Robertson and Allen 2015); probably northern Peru (Chirichigno and Vélez 1998). Depth: 11–1,093 m (36–3,585 ft) (min.: Schneider in Fischer et al. 1995; max.: NWFSC-FRAM).
