Description
R script for the analysis of macroscopic charcoal records from sedimentary archives. It combines previous work (please see references in readme) to provide a quick way of evaluating fire signals within the record using both a "classic" and a "robust" approach.
The script was described in more detail in Glückler et al. (2021): Wildfire history of the boreal forest of south-western Yakutia (Siberia) over the last two millennia documented by a lake-sediment charcoal record. Biogeosciences. https://doi.org/10.5194/bg-18-4185-2021
