Euura myrtilloides Kopelke, 1996
Euura (Euura) myrtilloides Kopelke, 1996: 107. Described: ♂, gall, recorded host: Salix myrtilloides. Holotype, ♂, SMF [examined]. Type locality: Norway, Finnmark, S.- Varanger, Vaggatem. Description of ♀: Kopelke (2006).
Variability. Female: Body length: 3.8–4.5mm. Male: 4.0– 4.2mm. Total number of specimens examined: 4. Genetic data. COI barcode not distinguishable from those of E. salicislapponicae, E. salicispurpureae, and E. weiffenbachiella.
Similar species. Females are most similar to E. weiffenbachiella: see key for distinguishing characters. Males of the atra subgroup are not morphologically separable.
Bionomics. Host plants: Salix myrtilloides (Kopelke 1996). Biology: Kopelke (1996, 2006). Distribution. Published records are only from Finnmark in Norway (Kopelke 1996, 2006), but galls have been found in Finland by T. Nyman. Occurrence in Sweden: not recorded, but probably occurs.
