Description
The dataset for the manuscript entitled “Serpentinization in Jezero Crater: Comparing SuperCam Mars Data to Terrestrial Serpentinites” consists of a single CSV file with 177 rows, one SuperCam observation point per row. The observation points in this file are from the SuperCam rock targets with potential serpentine detections between martian solar days (sols) 1 and 1430. Metadata and compositional data are provided for each row. The metadata includes the LIBS spectrum filename; the LIBS target; the name of the region the target is located; a binary column indicating whether or not the point was included in the Mg# calculation (soil, vein, and coating points were excluded); the observation point number within the sequence; the SuperCam-to-target distance (in mm); the laser power used for the LIBS measurements; and the spectrum totals. The compositional data includes the oxide chemistry (oxide wt.%) and shot-to-shot standard deviation for the major oxides SiO2, TiO2, Al2O3, FeOT, MgO, CaO, Na2O, and K2O; the sum of oxides for each observation point is also provided.
