Urban wind data and Energy Harvester voltage output
Creators
Description
The dataset consists of wind measurements recorded by A 3D ultrasonic anemometer (HD2003.1 Delta Ohm) and the output voltage of a piezoelectric wind-excited energy harvester. The harvester system is designed as a cantilevered beam with a rectangular prism of width to depth ratio 3:2 attached to its tip, and it is oriented towards the west direction. The output voltage is reduced by a voltage divider circuit according to a 3:1 ratio. Both the anemometer and harvester were installed on the roof of the Scientific Area Building at the University of A Coruna, Elvina Campus, with GPS coordinates 43° 19' 58.8'' N and 76° 24' 9'' W. The field measurements were conducted over a one-month period, from April 16 to May 15, 2024. All dataset variables were collected at a frequency of 1 Hz, and the recorded values were averaged over 10-minute periods. Time is CET.
