Dataset for the publication entitled "An application of the Ecosystem Services Assessment approach to the provision of groundwater for human supply and to support aquifer management"

Description
This dataset contains spatially distributed nitrate concentration values derived from a groundwater flow and nitrate transport model developed for the Medina del Campo Groundwater Body (MCGB), in central Spain. The data were generated as part of the study entitled "An application of the Ecosystem Services Assessment approach to the provision of groundwater for human supply and to support aquifer management", submitted to Hydrology (MDPI).
Raster maps in CSV format represent modelled nitrate concentrations (mg/L) for the upper, intermediate and lower aquifers under various groundwater and fertilizer management scenarios, simulated for the years 2050, and 2350.
Each file includes X and Y coordinates (UTM Zone 30N, EPSG:32630) and the corresponding simulated nitrate concentration. These outputs support the assessment of the ecosystem service “Groundwater of Good Quality for Human Supply (APS-GWGQHS)” within the Ecosystem Services Assessment (ESA) framework.
This dataset is intended for scientific use in hydrogeological studies, environmental modelling, or groundwater quality assessment.
