Description
This repository includes the following archives:

- Mosaicking_Results.zip
The file "OCTA-MosaickingDataset.zip" includes a dataset with 19 sets of superficial capillary plexus OCTA images captured from 10 patients (right and left eyes, except for patient #6, which only includes left eye images). Each set consists of three to five overlapping images covering the area from the optic disc to the retinal temporal region, including the macular area. From these sets, wide-field OCTA mosaics can be constructed.
Each image covers an area of 6 × 6 mm with a resolution of 320 × 320 pixels (18.7 μm/pixel). The dataset contains a total of 71 images, all acquired using the Topcon DRI OCT Triton Optical Coherence Tomography capture device. These images were obtained directly from the capture device in a real-world clinical setting. As a result, some OCTA images contain noise or typical motion artifacts inherent to this imaging modality. These artifacts often appear as horizontal lines disrupting the continuity of vertically oriented blood vessels.
The dataset was approved by the Comité de Ética da Investigación de Santiago-Lugo, a committee within the Rede Galega de Comités de Ética da Investigación, under the jurisdiction of the regional government Secretaría Xeral Técnica da Consellería de Sanidade da Xunta de Galicia. The dataset was constructed in compliance with the tenets of the Helsinki Declaration, and all personal data were fully anonymized prior to inclusion.
The file "Mosaicking_Results.zip" contains the mosaic results generated at different stages of an evolutionary method for high-resolution wide-field OCTA image mosaicking. These results were obtained using the aforementioned dataset, which contains the original OCTA images used as input in the method.
The code used to implement the method is publicly available at the following repository: https://github.com/javimdr/OCTA-mosaic
The dataset, the results and the mosaicking method are associated with the manuscript titled "Evolutionary mosaicking for high-resolution wide-field optical coherence tomography angiography", which is currently under review at Applied Soft Computing. If the manuscript is finally published, the DOI and full citation details will be added.
