Two New Species of Mites (Acari: Myobiidae and Myocoptidae) from Skin and Fur of Small Mammals in Poland

(Uploaded by Plazi for the Bat Literature Project) Two new ectoparasitic mite species of the families Myobiidae (Prostigmata) and Myocoptidae (Astigmata) are described from Poland: Acanthophthirius (Acanthophthirius) longisetosus sp. nov. from Vespertilio murinus Linnaeus, 1758 (Chiroptera: Vespertilionidae) and Trichoecius blaszaki sp. nov. from Apodemus flavicollis (Melchior, 1834) (Rodentia: Muridae).
