Example dataset for the software parrot
Description
These sample files are in HDF-5 format and each contains three arrays named "time", "position", and "signal".
The files were recorded in a Terahertz-Time Domain Spectroscopy (THz-TDS) setup with an oscillating delay line (APE ScanDelay) and a continuous recording scheme.
Each file has approximately 1 min of recording time with a time step of 2e-5 s.
One of the three files is called "light.h5", where the data is recorded with active THz emission.
The other two files are so-called "dark" files, where the THz emission is disabled, but all other settings are the same, in particular the probe beam is still active.
The parrot software splits and averages continuously recorded THz data and can compensate for systematic offsets of the THz TDS when provided with the corresponding dark traces. Furthermore, an algorithm is implemented in parrot which allows to compensate possible phase shifts between position and signal data by using cross-correlation methods of the THz signal itself (which is recorded in forward and backward motion).
