Open and Big Team Science: Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina Perspective

Materials from an online hackathon titled Open and Big Team Science: Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina Perspective, jointly organized by ABRIR, Open Science Community Serbia (OSCS), and LIRA Lab (University of Belgrade-Faculty of Philosophy) as part of the project Advancing Big-team Reproducible science through Increased Representation (ABRIR): Towards more diverse and inclusive open psychological sciences. The event was held on June 17, 2024 and was managed by Aleksandra Lazić and Alma Jeftić. 

During the hackathon, participants shared experiences with participating in Open and Big Team Science, with the focus on identifying barriers and solutions to improve access and inclusivity. They could also contribute to a database of useful resources and propose ideas for future collaborations and projects. More about the event in Serbian is available on the OSCS website.

This record contains:

• Open and Big Team Science RS BA_Participants and Resources: an ODS file with three spreadsheets. Also available for viewing and downloading here. 
  • The first spreadsheet contains the information on the people who participated in the hackathon or who had only registered to participate (name, country, ORCID iD, affiliation).
  • The second spreadsheet lists useful resources related to Open and Big Team Science that were compiled during the hackathon. These resources include various communities, projects, events, educational materials, funding opportunities, tools etc. Most of these resources are focused on increasing accessibility and inclusivity, or are somehow connected to the region. 
  • The third spreadsheet lists ideas for collaborations and projects proposed by hackathon participants.
• Open and Big Team Science RS BA_Slides: PDF and PPTX slides (predominantly in Serbian, with some slides in English) of the presentation used during the event, created by Aleksandra Lazić and Alma Jeftić. The slides also feature the results of two short questionnaires on Open and Big Team Science that participants answered during the event; these results are presented in English.
