Most of the specimens seem t o be closely related to the species described by Btitschli and are recognizable b y the tail being not uniformly rounded, but more conical and posteriorly rounded. This species Micoletzky (1922, 1.c.) regarded as a new form, f. bi~tschlii, closely related t o the main species, described b y Bastian.
