Characterization of urban trees and calculation of their BVOC emissions
Creators
Description
The aim of this module is to provide input data for urban climate and air quality models that aim to include trees in their simulations such as the Model of Urban Network of Intersecting Canyons and Highways (MUNICH). It reads the tree database of the city of Paris, estimates the characteristics of urban trees (leaf area and dry biomass, tree and trunk height, etc.) and calculates their Biogenic Organic Volatile Compound (BVOC) emissions. These codes can be applied to other cities with tree databases.
