Description

3D-scan of the runestone from Ervik in Harstad municipality (catalog number Ts.8168 at the Arctic University Museum, UiT, Tromsø), Troms and Finnmark county. The stone has been scanned using an Artec Spider 3D-scanner and post-processed in Artec Studio 15 Professional at the archaeology lab at AHR, UiT The Arctic University of Norway. The runestone fragment measures 47 x 11,9 x 4,8 cm and weighs 4,85 kg. It was found in a garden in Harstad in the early 1980s, in soil moved from a so-called settlement mound at the nearby Ervika farm. The inscription is Christian and date to the 11th century.
