Description

This article explores the prospects of the South Yakutia Hydroelectric Complex (SYHC) and its potential impact on the energy system of Northern China. The article analyzes the technical and economic aspects of exporting electricity from South Yakutia to China, evaluates various options for electricity transmission, and investigates the coverage of the semi-peak load in Northern China using the capacities of SYHC. The research demonstrates that SYHC has significant potential to provide electricity not only to its region but also for export to Northern China. The economic analysis indicates that utilizing SYHC's capacities to cover the semi-peak load in China is a more cost-effective option than building new power stations in China. The study also emphasizes the importance of integrating hydroelectric power and electrical systems to ensure stable and environmentally sustainable energy supply in regions with high electricity consumption. The proposed collaboration between South Yakutia and Northern China in the field of energy could be a significant step in this direction and contribute to the energy security and sustainable development of both regions.
