UAVRiverMonitoring is an open-access community dedicated to the collection, curation, and sharing of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV, drone) datasets for the study of river systems. The initiative supports the systematic documentation of hydro-geomorphological, ecological, and environmental conditions across diverse riverine environments. By enabling the exchange of standardized and comparable UAV-based datasets, this community fosters cross-site analyses, identification of research gaps, and reproducibility in river science. The open repository is designed to accelerate methodological innovation, inspire new investigations, and drive the development of advanced tools for monitoring river dynamics, management, and restoration. To align with the community’s scope, submissions must include UAV-derived data. Supporting datasets used to validate UAV analyses, e.g., from direct in-situ measurements, are welcome when provided together with the corresponding UAV data. This requirement ensures completeness, comparability, and transparency across all contributions.
[!NOTE] Contributions may include raw data (e.g., RGB, multispectral, hyperspectral, thermal imagery, LiDAR point clouds, videos, sensor measurements, etc.) and derived products (e.g., orthomosaics, DEMs, habitat classifications, flow velocity or depth estimates, annotated training datasets, and other analysis-ready products.).
