About
The TextRefs Zenodo Community is the archival home for official releases and registry dumps of TextRefs.
TextRefs is an open, persistent, machine-readable registry for canonical text references. It provides stable identifiers and structured metadata for references such as passages, sections, or other canonical text units, while keeping reference identity separate from editions, translations, providers, and resolver locations.
This Zenodo community preserves:
-
automatic monthly registry dumps;
-
regular releases from the official TextRefs GitHub repository;
-
official release artifacts selected by the TextRefs maintainers.
The community is intended for long-term preservation, citation, and reuse of official TextRefs outputs. It is not used for direct submissions from external contributors.
To contribute to TextRefs, please use GitHub:
-
read the contributing guide;
-
open an issue;
-
submit a pull request;
-
start a discussion.
For technical details on registry exports, see Versioning & data packaging.
Licensing follows the TextRefs project licences:
-
registry data: CC0 1.0;
-
documentation and standard text: CC BY-SA 4.0;
-
code: AGPL-3.0-or-later.
