SISNIR - Italian Society of NIR Spectroscopy (Società Italiana di Spettroscopia NIR) was founded in 2006 with the aim of:

- promoting the scientific knowledge of near infrared spectroscopy and its applications in Italy;

- organizing scientific events, including the well-established NIRITALIA Symposium;

- financing young researchers for their active participation and contribution in the international NIR scientific panorama.
