REV-UP (full name: IntegRated clean Energy harVesting modUlar enveloPe systems for Positive energy buildings)
REV-UP is a project funded by the Clean Energy Transition Partnership that accelerates the transition towards Zero-Emission Buildings (ZEBs) by developing innovative, modular and intelligent building solutions for new construction and deep renovation.
Buildings play a crucial role in achieving Europe's climate neutrality goals. REV-UP addresses this challenge by combining advanced building envelope technologies with ICT solutions, enabling buildings to generate, store, manage and optimise renewable energy while improving energy efficiency, indoor comfort and flexibility.
REV-UP will:
- Develop innovative modular Zero-Emission Building technologies, including multifunctional prefabricated façades, dynamic U-value façade systems, solar-powered glazed surfaces and integrated ventilation units.
- Create an interoperable ICT platform using digital twins and AI-based analytics to optimise local renewable energy generation, storage, energy consumption and flexibility services.
- Develop the ZEB-KIT, a decision-support and energy management application that helps building owners, professionals and occupants select the most suitable Zero-Emission Building solutions while enabling prosumer and flexibility trading.
- Demonstrate the technologies in six pilot sites across Austria, Sweden, Denmark, the Czech Republic and Italy, covering residential, office, public and living lab environments.
Over the course of three years (2025 – 2028), 12 partners from six European countries will collaborate to advance integrated Zero-Emission Building technologies and demonstrate their performance in real operating environments.
