This community collects and disseminates the outputs of the PRO-SIS project (INTERREG VI-A ITALIA–SLOVENIA 2021–2027).
The project focuses on the development of practical design and application methodologies for innovative strategies aimed at reducing the seismic vulnerability of existing masonry structures. These strategies are based on mortar coatings reinforced with fiber-based composite materials and are designed to be applied on a single side of the wall, minimizing disruption to occupants and activities or, alternatively, preserving architectural and artistic features.
The proposed methods are supported by analytical and numerical models calibrated against experimental data from previous research activities (CONSTRAIN project). The results provide engineers and designers with robust and reliable tools, including design guidelines and implementation procedures compatible with commonly used structural design software.
