PEAK (Perspectives on the Use and Acceptance of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Care) was a mixed-methods research project conducted by Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg from October 2021 to September 2025.
The study aimed to explore physicians’ and patients’ perspectives on the use of AI in medical care.
It followed an exploratory sequential mixed-methods design, beginning with qualitative focus groups and continuing with standardized quantitative surveys.
The project was funded by the Innovation Fund of the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) under funding code 01VSF20017.
