Next Generation BiOactiVe NAnocoatings - NOVA is a newly established European consortium working on the development of a comprehensive approach to antimicrobial, highly efficient, environmentally friendly and stable coatings.
NOVA's vision is to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases in everyday life by making every step of antimicrobial coating development easier by delivering expertise, high added value coatings and new testing methodologies.
NOVA brings together an interdisciplinary team of scientists from fourteen different partners across nine European countries - the consortium is a well balanced collaboration of universities, national research institutes, SMEs and multinational companies.
