About
Mount Royal University Publications (Open Access) is a curated Zenodo community for open access publications and other MRU-affiliated research outputs, including non-traditional academic outputs (creative and practice-based work).
What can be deposited
- Articles (open access, or accepted manuscripts where permitted)
- Conference papers, posters, and presentations
- Reports and working papers (where appropriate)
- Non-traditional academic outputs (e.g., exhibition documentation, portfolios, images of works, recordings, performance documentation, artist statements)
What to expect
- Submissions are reviewed before appearing in the community.
- If a publisher PDF can’t be shared, a curator may request an accepted manuscript instead.
- For creative works, curators may request clarification about permissions for any third-party images/media.
- If an item already has a publisher DOI, include the publisher DOI in the record metadata.
- Please do not upload confidential, private, or internal-only materials.
MROAR and Zenodo
This community is one supported place to share MRU-affiliated work openly. MRU’s institutional repository (MROAR) is another. Both provide stable links, and MROAR can assign DOIs for many items. If you’re unsure where to deposit, either option can work—the library can help you choose based on the type of output and any rights/publisher requirements.
