My name is Julian Walter Maurer. I am a lecturer in Business and Public Administration at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland and a political scientist and economist with a interdisciplinary background in public management, law and political science. My research and teaching activities focus on the digital transformation of the public sector, strategic management, change management, and digitalisation management, with a particular interest in the challenges of administrative modernisation and public governance.
I have previously worked at the TUM Center for Digital Public Services and at the Chair for Law and Security of Digitalisation at the Technical University of Munich, where I was engaged in projects at the intersection of law, policy and economics in digital contexts. Since March 2025, I have been affiliated with the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland, contributing to academic work in the fields of strategic management, public management, change management and digitalisation management, as well as supporting master's students in development of scientific working techniques.
My main research interests lie in the interdisciplinary study of the digital transformation of public administration, especially from legal, political and economic perspectives. I am particularly concerned with questions of governance, regulatory frameworks, and innovation in the public sector. This includes the design of steering instruments for e-government, the integration of artificial intelligence in public administration, and the governance of data in digital contexts.
This collection provides open access to supplementary materials and teaching resources linked to my academic work. It includes survey instruments, interview guides, datasets and additional documentation used in research projects, as well as didactic resources developed for higher education and professional training. All materials are intended to enhance transparency, reproducibility and the effective transfer of knowledge in both research and teaching contexts.
