Proceedings from GES12 hosted by ETH Zurich in Switzerland from July 24 – 29, 2022. GES12 is organized by the International Association of GeoChemistry (IAGC). The meeting is held every 3 years and is dedicated to the geochemistry of the Earth’s surface, including the terrestrial surface, the ocean and the environmental geochemistry of both. The GES12 edition has a strong focus on interactions of the Earth’s spheres: the hydrosphere, atmosphere, lithosphere and biosphere, and how these interactions respond to changing environmental and climate conditions.
