GENRE was a three-year research project (2019-2022) that aimed to investigate and cross-culturally compare the lived experiences of female technology entrepreneurs in incubation and investing ecosystems in four different countries. The findings generated inform policy development aimed at inclusivity and sustainability, thus benefiting both women and men. It was a transnational research project taking place simultaneously in Ireland (Dublin City University), Norway (Nord University), Sweden (Karlstad and Örebro University) and Israel (Kinneret College). The project was coordinated by DCU Business School (Dublin) and led by Prof Maura McAdam. GENRE was co-funded under the GENDER-NET Plus Joint Call Grant Number GNP-122.
