The Association "Educación Física Española Sociedad Científica", constituted in 2008, is a scientific society, without profit motive, that has the following aims
To encourage research and communication between researchers from different universities as well as to promote the increase of the impact of scientific journals in the area that are considered of interest by the members of the Association.
It will also promote the internationalization of the research carried out by the research groups in Physical Education and will serve to create systems for the projection and transfer of research in Physical Education to administrations, organizations and, in general, to the social environment.
In the same way, it will promote and defend the rights and status that correspond to Physical Education, as well as the professional practice of its members
Within the framework of Article 22 of the Spanish Constitution, the "Sociedad Científica" Association shall be governed by these statutes, by the rules approved by its governing bodies, by the provisions of Organic Law 1/2002 of 22 March, regulating the right of association and, in general, by the legal provisions and regulations in force at any given time and applicable to it.
The AEU, registered in the corresponding registry, has sufficient legal capacity for the acquisition, possession and disposal of all kinds of goods and rights, as well as for contracting obligations and exercising any actions corresponding to it of any kind, without any other limitations than those established by law.
For the development of its scientific work referred to in the section, the Association will hold its own scientific activities such as Working Groups, National Scientific Sessions, National and International Congresses and any other that is considered necessary. In addition, and in order to adapt to the technological changes in scientific progress, the Association will establish the appropriate ways.
In order to comply with its aims, the Spanish Physical Education Association Scientific Society, through its Board of Directors, will submit to the competent authorities and administrative bodies, when it considers it necessary or convenient, its concerns, suggestions or proposals to promote and defend the rights and status that correspond to Physical Education.

La Asociación “Educación Física Española Sociedad Científica”, constituida en 2008, es una sociedad científica, sin ánimo de lucro, que tiene los siguientes fines:
Fomentar la investigación y comunicación entre investigadores/as de diferentes universidades así como propiciar el incremento del impacto de las revistas científicas del área que sean consideradas de interés por los miembros de la Asociación.
También promoverá la internacionalización de la investigación realizada por los grupos de investigación en Educación Física y servirá para crear sistemas de proyección y transferencia de la investigación en educación física a las administraciones, organismos y, en general, al entorno social.
Del mismo modo promocionará y defenderá los derechos y el rango que a la Educación Física le corresponden, así como el ejercicio profesional de sus miembros
Dentro del marco del artículo 22 de la Constitución Española, la Asociación “Educación Física Española Sociedad Científica” se regirá por los presentes estatutos, por las normas que aprueben sus Órganos de Gobierno, por las disposiciones de la Ley Orgánica 1/2002, de 22 de marzo, reguladora del derecho de asociación y, con carácter general, por las disposiciones legales y reglamentarias vigentes en cada momento y que le sean de aplicación.
La AEU, inscrita en el registro correspondiente, tiene capacidad legal suficiente para la adquisición, posesión y disposición de toda clase de bienes y derechos, así como para contraer obligaciones y ejercitar cuantas acciones le correspondan de cualquier clase, sin más limitaciones que las establecidas en las leyes.
Para el desarrollo de su labor científica a que se refiere el apartado la Asociación celebrará, las actividades científicas propias como Grupos de Trabajo, Sesiones Científicas Nacionales, Congresos Nacionales e Internacionales y cualquier otra que se considere necesario. Asimismo, y para adaptarse a los cambios tecnológicos que en el avance científico se vaya produciendo, la Asociación establecerá las vías adecuadas.
Para dar cumplimiento a sus fines la Asociación Educación Física Española Sociedad Científica, a través de su Junta Directiva, elevará a las autoridades y órganos administrativos competentes, cuando lo estime necesario o conveniente, sus inquietudes, sugerencias o propuestas para promover y defender los derechos y rango que corresponden a la Educación Física.
