The DH^CH initiative provides a network to discuss the rich aspects of Digital Humanities, open up the perspective to the wide horizon of digital practices and support digital humanities approaches in arts and cultural heritage. The initiative supports the common effort to establish a leading platform in the truly interdisciplinary field of Digital Humanities. Besides digital tools and methods for the application in research, outputs and synergies, the reuse of digital research shall be addressed. Aspects of digital preservation are also of particular importance, as digital research data must be gained, analyzed, maintained, and curated. Thanks to the interdisciplinary base of DH^CH, aspects of education in the digital humanities can also be covered.
