CREAM aims to increase river basin resilience against climate change challenges to water infrastructure, livelihood, water-food-energy security, and environmental conservation.
The project combines research in climate change projections for use in impact studies with hydrological and ground water modelling, scenario development and land use cover, land use change analysis. CREAM maps, assesses and values ecosystem services and their benefits to communities and develops a decision support tool to analyse optimal trade-offs for improved water resources management. Finally CREAM also investigates policy design and policy implementation to improve water resources management and is dedicated to building competencies and capacities of researchers and stakeholders.
CREAM focuses on two basins in Ghana: the Pra and the Densu basin.
Output in the form of e.g. papers, data and presentations from CREAM will be curated to this community.
