CIVIC (Circular Incentives via Verified Individual Packaging Classification) aims to support the transition towards a more circular packaging system by improving the identification, classification and management of individual packaging items. The project focuses on creating reliable packaging classification and incentive mechanisms that can support better sorting, recycling and resource efficiency across the packaging value chain. By connecting verified packaging information with circular incentives, CIVIC contributes to reducing packaging waste, improving recycling performance and accelerating the adoption of circular economy practices in line with European environmental objectives.
