The aim of the BRAHMS project is to characterise biogenic bed roughness to allow quantification of benthic exchanges in different habitats within Venice Lagoon and other transitional environments. Joint work among coastal oceanographers, ecologists and biologists aims to define the link between habitat type, benthic roughness, hydrodynamic roughness, bed stability and benthic exchange coefficients.
BRAHMS project is a collaboration between University of Southampton and CNR-ISMAR Venice.
