«Actual Problems of Theoretical and Clinical Medicine» is a scientific and practical, peer–reviewed journal that publishes the results of original research, literary reviews, cases from practice related to clinical medicine and public health.
The main purpose of the journal «Actual Problems of Theoretical and Clinical Medicine» is to promote the development of domestic science, reflect the main trends, directions and results of scientific research, publish articles on specialized topics in the field of theoretical and clinical medicine, education, healthcare organization, innovations in medical science and practice.
The main tasks of the journal:
1) Creation and development of a scientific peer-reviewed publication that meets high international requirements;
2) Promoting the creation of favorable conditions for the development of science and clinics in the field of healthcare;
3) Assistance in improving the level of scientific research by providing the possibility of prompt publication of scientific articles (research results) and providing open access to all interested persons to all published materials;
4) Paying special attention to the social determinants of health, environmental, behavioral and occupational influences on health and disease, as well as the impact of policies and progressive changes in the field of health on society;
5) Promoting the consolidation of the international scientific community;
6) Exchange of experience in teaching science and practice in the field of medicine and healthcare;
7) Improving the quality of scientific publications;
8) Promotion of the main achievements in the field of medicine and healthcare in the world scientific space;
9) Increasing the publication activity of national authors, the rating of scientific medical organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the level of scientific publications in the world scientific community according to their citation data;
10) Publication of articles reflecting the results of original open research works, theoretical and experimental studies, highlighting the current state of certain areas of science and medical practice.
The peer-reviewed medical journal «Actual Problems of Theoretical and Clinical Medicine» has been published since 2012 and was registered with the Information Committee of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan (registration Certificate No. 12178-zh dated 29.12.2011)
The journal is registered with the International Center for Registration of Serial Publications ISSN (UNESCO, Paris, France) and has ISSN 2790 – 1289 (print) and ISSN 2790 - 1297 (online) dated December 02, 2021. A DOI is assigned to each journal article.

Editorial staff: Quality control of articles is carried out by a staff of professional specialists, respected medical scientists and clinicians who have joined the editorial staff and editorial board.
The Editorial Board and members of the editorial Board carry out the following activities:
- hears the report of the Editor-in-Chief on the work of the editorial board of the Journal;
- assesses the quality of the examination of articles, may require additional review of works;
- recommends accepting or rejecting articles for publication, taking into account the examination carried out;
- suggests measures to increase the prestige of the magazine.
The review of scientific articles in the editorial office of the Journal is carried out through the use of online blind review (double-blind review).
Quality control of articles is carried out by a staff of professional reviewers, the editorial board and editorial boards, which include well-known and respected medical scientists.
