Task is to

  • publish,
  • archive,
  • make citable,
  • make discoverable

lecture notes handed over by the presenters for this purpose.

Aim is to preserve the knowledge collected in the lecture notes beyond the evening of the presentation as a lasting piece of (historical) information for generations to come.

Aerospace Information for Hamburg and the World!

Free lectures in Hamburg on aeronautics and astronautics organized jointly by DGLR, RAeS, VDI, ZAL and HAW Hamburg (PSL). Goal is the exchange of information among professionals and the education of students and young engineers. Topics range from historic reviews to current trends. A noncommercial and voluntary service of committed individuals and invited lecturers.

  • German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics (DGLR)
  • Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS)
  • The Association of German Engineers (VDI)
  • ZAL - Center of Applied Aeronautical Research
  • Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Hamburg UAS).

The lecture series is part of Hamburg Aviation in the metropolitan area Hamburg.

Lectures are given in English or German.

All forthcoming lectures are listed on the homepage and can be reached directly via: http://events.AeroLectures.de. Forthcoming lectures are also available in many other calendars. This calendar for smart phones can be recommended.

The full set of archived lectures is available with simple Google-based navigation and can be reached via http://archive.AeroLectures.de. The archive dates back to 1999. Step by step all these lectures will be copied here to Zenodo. In comparison to the old storage, Zenodo offers added value: long term archiving (CERN), persistent identifier (DOI), and better dissemination (OpenAIRE, ...).
