Using the WMO Rolling Review of Requirements for observing network design: Application to E-SURFMAR

This presentation reviews the various dimensions of the WMO Rolling Review of Requirements (RRR) and indicates how the concepts can be applied to update the design of an existing observing network. An application to the European network of surface marine observations in E-SURFMAR is presented.
