Description

In this poster we present a protocol developed at CENIEH (Burgos, Spain) for the description under quantitative values of several features that affect to the quality of the raw materials used in flintknapping during Prehistoric times. The quality of several rocks as obsidian, opal, flint, chert and quartzite are examinated under flintknapping experiments and compared by devices as an Olympus DSX1000 3D digital microscope, a Leeb D scale durometer, and a Universal Testing Machine Shimadzu AGS-X 100 kN.
