Description
From comparison of carbon-supported Pt and PtGa propane dehydrogenation catalysts, the role of Ga promotion is elucidated via electron microscopy showing amorphous PtGa nanoparticles, hence, being responsible for Pt-site isolation, which drives catalytic stability and selectivity.
