What are we doing and what do we need to do: the roadmap of OA in Spanish University Presses

In Spain the publishing of Journals in Universities Presses is mainly done using Diamond Open Access. At the time the Universities’ Governing bodies signed the 2003 Berlin Declaration on Open Access, their Universities Presses began to study, work and change their methods and workflow[1]. After CSIC did, on 22th octubre 2009, Salamanca University Press open its OJS: previously it digitised all its previously published journals for their publication in the platform.

Nowadays, a big number of our repositories are in the first 160 ranking of global repositories as Ranking Web show (Isidro Aguillo, Laboratorio de Cibermetría, CSIC):

As of today, Spanish University Presses have not any government support, or any political plan or strategy regarding about Open Science. In fact, all Departments of Spanish administration (central, autonomical or local) largely ignore what Spain's University Presses do and what are their problems.

The principal focus of this poster is to provide data about journal production (for example, how many offers XML-JATS), rights policies, ethics requirements, but above all, our sostenibility. Also to explain we need in order to ensure that open science becomes a common and shared practice, encouraged by the whole international ecosystem of higher education, research and innovation.
