Upper ocean response to a major hurricane in the Gulf of Mex-ico: An examination of NCOM-AMSEAS, deep-sea glider, and thermistor datasets
Description
Figure S2A-B: Water temperature (salinity) section from NG645 during the forced stage of HL. The water temperature (figure 2A) shows changes during HL. The changes are noticeable from 10h00 UTC, with a 1-2℃ loss in the mixed layer temperature. This was followed by mixing and homogeneity of the upper 50m. Evident in figure 2A is also, the shoaling of the 29℃-isotherm layer. From 08h00-16h00 UTC, data presented in figure 2B indicate an increase in surface salinity (35-36PSU) during HL.
