On the issue of higher agricultural education in the Belarusian lands in the 19th – early 20th centuries
Authors/Creators
Description
In the history of higher agricultural education in the Belarusian lands during the period of their entry into the Russian Empire, both positive trends were observed that characterize the dynamic development of educational institutions, as well as events that had catastrophic consequences. The infrastructure for the training of highly qualified personnel for the agricultural sector of the economy, created in the first half of the 19th century, was liquidated in the middle of the century, and projects to recreate an agricultural higher educational institution in the region at the beginning of the 20th century faced organizational, financial, logistical and geopolitical problems.
