Type locality: Viti, Fiji.

Synonyms: Gammarus quadrimanus Dana, 1852; Maera quadrimana Schellenberg, 1938.

Distribution. World: Fiji (Dana 1852), Gulf of Mexico (Felder & Camp 2009), Caribbean Sea, (Miloslavich et al. 2010), India (Nayar 1959).
