Description

This guidebook aims to give an overview of the challenges associated with making qualitative data reusable as well as providing guidance on how reusability can be improved and addressed at all stages of the research data life cycle.

The guide includes a set of decision trees (also published separately and available at doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18390982) that researchers and data stewards can use to evaluate the options for making qualitative data reusable that are most suited for their projects.

This is the third version of the guide which incorporated community feedback and extended the available information. The guide now includes a section on preregistration of qualitative data and ethical aspects including the CARE principles.
