Description
Alloxysta Förster, 1869
Within the genus Alloxysta, 172 species have been described, of which 111 species were considered valid (Ferrer-Suay et al. 2012a). Subsequently only 65 of these species were considered to be valid and 40 new species have been described Ferrer-Suay et al. (2012a, b, c, d; 2013a, b, c, d, e; 2014a, b; 2015) resulting in a total of 105 Alloxysta valid species. All of the currently recognised Alloxysta species have been described and re-described as part of the various revisions carried out by Ferrer-Suay et al. (2012a, b, c, d; 2013a, b, c, d, e; 2014a, b; 2015) and the data are available at www.charipinaedatabase.com. We provide an overview of the current status of all Alloxysta species in Table 2.
