Description
GHz Peaked Spectrum (GPS) radio galaxies show a convex spectrum peaking around 1 GHz and a compact symmetric morphology, which is a scaled-down version (even 1000 times smaller) of those seen in the high power extragalactic radio sources.
We suggest that GPS radio galaxies consist of a mixed class of objects, with the majority of them containing a rapidly precessing jet, which is unable to escape the inner region of the host galaxy, making them "frustrated" objects.
