This dataset contains data of the publication "Is a Picture Worth a Thousand Words? Effects of Foregrounded Multimodal and Narrative Features". It includes measures for the Story World Absorption Scale, the Transformative Reading Scale, and the Empathy subscale of the Literary Response Questionnaire used to test the effect of multimodal features of multimodal novels and narrative perspectives and their interactive effects on reading-induced imagery and emotional reactions in the process of reading.
