Description
The e-Highway 2050 project aimed at delivering a top-down methodology to support the planning of the European power grid from 2020 to 2050. Within this project, the aim of WP6 was :
- To provide a new multi-criteria methodology for assessing the socio-economic impacts of new or expanded transmission lines, based on costs, risks and benefits for society and stakeholders;
- To provide a cost-benefit ranking of the pan-European grid architectures for each scenario elaborated in the WP2;
- To perform a socio-economic analysis of the overall modular plans from 2020 to 2050 fully incorporating operational and environmental aspects (from WP4).
