Zenodo: empowering open science through generalist repository excellence

The focus of this presentation is on Zenodo, a generalist open repository that has been built and developed by researchers. The presentation provides an overview of Zenodo and highlights its advantages for the long­-tail of research. To better understand the significance of Zenodo, the presentation begins with a brief introduction to Open Science, emphasizing the crucial role of open repositories in achieving these goals, bringing GREI (Generalist Repository Ecosystem Initiative) by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as an initiative that corroborates it and includes seven generalist repositories, including Zenodo, reinforcing its important role in promoting Open Science practices.
