AN INVESTIGATION ON PLAGOMANIA DISEASE CAUSED BY THE TRANSFORMATION OF TECHNOLOGICAL DEVICES

Today, with the increasing time we spend on new platforms emerging with the development of technology, our concerns and needs have started to show differences. The transformation that technological devices have consistently created is adapting us to innovations and updating our consumption habits. One of the points where addiction is observed intensely is the use of increasingly technological devices. The use of technology, which is being spread by the capitalist order, causes psychological, physiological and sociological problems as a result of unconscious and disproportionate use. Because of the new generation is born into this order, these problems continue in a chain manner and it becomes so difficult to control. Accessing information, following the agenda, being a content producer on various platforms gradually increases our commitment to technological devices. The individual, who satisfies his socialization and communication needs on social media platforms, becomes unable to control the time he spends on these platforms. Within the scope of this study, "Plagomania" disease, which occurs through technological devices, will be investigated. Examples of this disease, which is among the technological addictions, will be examined and the reasons for this anxiety of individuals will be examined. The research consists of Istanbul Aydın University students. The sample was determined as Istanbul Aydın University New Media graduate students. Focus group interview technique was used as the research method.
