Type locality: Malaysia, Borneo, Sarawak

= Macalla derogatella formosibia Strand, 1919: 50–51

Type locality: China, Taiwan, Kosempo and Alikang

= Macalla derogatella scurtata Caradja, 1925: 309

Type locality: Mokanshan [China, Zhejiang, Mount Mogan], Canton [Guangdong, Guangzhou]

Distribution. Indian records: Dalhousie, Shimla, Nagas, Sikkim (Hampson 1896b), N. W. and Eastern Himalayas (Hampson 1896a), Uttarakhand (Nanital) (Smetacek 2008). Global records: Murree, Borneo (Hampson 1896a, Hampson 1896b), Nepal (Yamanaka 1998), China, Malaysia, Taiwan (Pathania et al. 2021b).
