Description
16. Lepidogma tamaricalis (Mann, 1873: 124) (Hypotia)
Type locality: Italy, Tuscany, surroundings of Livorno and Pratovecchio
Distribution. Indian records: India (Mathew 2006, Ylla et al. 2007). Global records: South Europe (Hampson 1896a), Egypt, surroundings of Alexandria (Rebel 1912), Morocco, Spain, Italy (Holland & Schaus 1925), Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Japan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, New Guinea, Borneo, Sumatra, Zimbabwe, Ghana and Zaire (Ylla et al. 2007).
Remark. Lepidogma tamaricalis is currently the only Epipaschiinae species present in Europe (Ylla et al. 2007).
