Description
Deliverable D5.2 provides an overview of the Technology Acceptance Modeling (TAM) data collection activities that took place during Iteration 1 of the METICOS project. To this end, it describes the goals, concept and design of the data collection surveys performed and provides a descriptive analysis of the resulting data.
This deliverable consists of two main parts: the first part discusses the pilot survey of project Iteration 1, while the second part focuses on the main survey. Both surveys targeted EU citizens in their role as travelers.
Finally, conclusions and findings from the results are derived, particularly as regards upcoming data collection and modeling activities in work package WP5. Among those, key findings and conclusions are:
- Size and quality of the dataset resulting from the main survey were found to be sufficient for TAM Modeling.
- TAM factors are well represented by their underlying items and correlations among factors follow plausible, explainable patterns.
- Issues such as occasionally observed small effect sizes and scoring differences between user groups as well as the fact that fully balancing of age groups could not be fully realized, have to be taken into account in future analysis and modeling.
