Genus Ectopioglossa Perkins, 1912

Ectopioglossa Perkins 1912: 118, genus. Type species: Ectopioglossa australensis Perkins, 1912 [= Eumenes australensis Meade-Waldo, 1910 = Ectopioglossa polita australensis (Meade-Waldo)], by monotypy.

Diagnosis. Belonging to the group of Eumeninae “Odynerini” with petiolate metasoma, distinguished by the following combination of characters: epicnemial carina present, axillary fossa oval but longer than wide, propodeum dorsally with elongate fovea from which a carina runs to orifice, propodeal valvula short and fused to submarginal carina, T1 with lamellar transverse carina basally, S1 usually reduced to posterior triangular sclerite (normally developed in some African species), second submarginal cell acute basally, female with cephalic foveae.
